<P><BR>Taiwan-based resistive touch panel supplier J Touch has reported a sharp decline of 59.4% in revenues for February to NT$65.77 million (US$2.15 million), compared to NT$162.14 million for the previous month, because of a plunge in demand from the handset market.</P>

<P>J Touch attributed the drop to seasonality and inventory adjustments by clients. It said revenues are expected to rise in March because working days have returned to normal after the holidays in February, but the company remarked that it was difficult to predict the extent of the growth.</P>

) [6 e8 q* p. ?5 b+ V9 |6 ]0 p<P>Industry observers said J Touch's sharp fall in revenues does not mean that the touch panel fad is waning. As the seasonal impact is usually particularly strong on the consumer electronics market – the chief market for small-size applications – J Touch's revenues decline is normal, the observers added.</P>
