Extended Touch Solutions

    3M Touch Systems extends the input flexibility of its ClearTek™ capacitive touch screens with the MicroTouch™ TouchPen offering, supporting both touch and pen input. With its tethered stylus, the TouchPen product supports handwriting recognition, signature and data capture, and annotation. Users can also select from dense menus or work with detailed images too small to touch with a finger.

Making the Difference
   
    Based on the EX II ASIC platform, the EX II 3000SP controller series exploits the advantages of the EX II ASIC while improving on one of 3M Touch Systems' most flexible controllers. Fully compatible with the existing TouchPen technology, the EX II 3000SP offers a wider operating temperature range, higher touch resolution coordinates, expanded regulatory approvals, improved ESD and EMI reliability and firmware download ability.

    Since it is fully compatible with the MicroTouch TP4+ controller, the EX II 3000SP continues to offer alternative modes of input: pen only, finger only, or both. Adding to its flexibility, the EX II 3000SP offers the capability to upgrade its firmware, even after installation and deployment.

The EX II 3000SP is a Serial RS232 device.
